Getting Ready for Your Surgery

  • Stop contact-lens wear 5 days before refractive evaluation.
  • Avoid eye makeup, perfumes or creams on surgery day.
  • Bring someone to accompany you home.
  • For diabetics — maintain sugar control & carry latest reports.

Post-Operative Care Guidelines

Surgery Type Key Care Instructions
LASIK / PRK

Use drops as prescribed (q4–6 h). No eye rubbing for 1 week. Wear dark glasses outdoors. Avoid swimming / makeup for 2 weeks.

Cataract / Lens Implant

Sleep on the opposite side for 3 nights. Keep eye dry & clean. Avoid dusty areas. Follow review schedule (Day 1 / Week 1 / Month 1).

ICL / IPCL

Mild light sensitivity is normal. Report immediately if pain / redness / blur. Strict drop routine for 2 weeks.

Retina / Laser / Injection

Blurring for 24 h normal. Monitor sugar levels closely. Next visit in 4–6 weeks or as advised.
